To Air-Brush, or Not to Air-Brush…Posted on October 9th, 2008 @ 10:11 am
I think that this is a question that many parents ask themselves when ordering pictures of their teenage children. When the order form came home for Aaron’s school pictures, I had the option to add $5.00 to have his picture air-brushed from blemishes, acne, freckles, etc. While I think that this is a great option for a child who might have scars or something, I think that if you are taking a picture to “preserve the moment”, then why not leave it in the “natural” state.
We all know that teenagers may have blemishes, or have a bout with acne, but why “hide” that with air-brushing. I mean if I think about it, I want Aaron’s 8th grade picture to remind me of what he “looked” like in 8th grade, even if that includes a zit or two.
Aaron was lucky that on his day of pictures, his face was nice and clear.
So, my question to you is “to air-brush, or not to air-brush”?

YUM-O!Posted on October 8th, 2008 @ 8:14 pm
I am such a freak for Italian food! I love it! I love to make lasagna, but I have never had just the right pan to make it in. I have lots of
the Pyrex baking dishes, but I have never found one that I think is deep enough for lasagna. When I plan on making lasagna, I usually buy one of those foil pans and we eat it for like a week, unless I have brought it to a "function" and shared with lots of people.
Sunday we were at Wal-Mart and I went down the baking aisle just to see what they had. I found this square baking dish, that was deep enough for lasagna and it had handles. Really? Did I just find the "perfect" lasagna pan for my family? I was pretty dang ecstatic.
I immediately went to the other side of the store to get
the ingredients I would need to make a lasagna. Monday morning I got up and made the sauce and let it simmer all day, until it was time to put the dish together. I got it all together and baked it, and this is what it came out looking like! YUMMY!
So, needless to say, I am happy that I decided to go down the aisle at Wal-Mart and my family is happy that they will get lasagna a lil more often.

P.S. Here is a fan-tab-u-lous link to check out: cornbread dressing. Although I am not too sure how cornbread would taste with lasagna…..HeHe!

My Newest Obsession…Posted on October 8th, 2008 @ 7:55 pm
My friend Teresa sells Mary Kay and sends me a catalog whenever they come out. I was browsing through the latest one and a pink bottle grabbed my attention. It was a "Signature Scent" called BELLA. I immediately asked for a sample and fell in love! I swear when I was in bed that night, I found myself smelling my arm for no apparent reason.
Luckily for me, when I asked her to order some, she said that she already had some in stock, and I would get it the next time I saw her. I was so dang excited!
The other night I got Bella, (and some chocolates too), and I have been in heaven ever since. It is really embarrassing to say that I liked the bottle first since it was PINK — but I am awfully impressed with the scent as well!
This is the description from the site: The exuberant floral fruity perfume captivates immediately. The senses are first treated to a delectable medley of apricot and red nectarine. At the heart of this women’s perfume, dew-covered rose petals and Moroccan jasmine unfold, while a delightful mix of creamy blonde woods and cool moss linger.
Let’s just say it is heavenly! Thanks Miss Teresa for my newest obsession!
